About Us

Head Over Heels was founded in Birmingham, AL in 1979 and is independently owned and operated by Craig and Ann Williams. They are highly respected in the gymnastics community for their dedication and expertise in the sport as well as working with children of all ages and abilities; together they have attracted and trained a first-class staff who is admired and loved by all. We continue to grow each year by adding new, cutting edge programs to our curriculum that children, parents and staff love. We are committed to providing the best in children’s gymnastics and related activities, health and fitness in addition to providing opportunities for personal growth and development.

Our talented and well-rounded staff goes through a demanding training program to ensure we are bringing the highest level of sports instruction and training along with valuable life skills opportunities to our students. Every staff member receives hands-on, on-site curriculum and management training and is professionally safety certified by USA Gymnastics, the national governing body for the sport of gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling granted by the US Olympic Committee and International Gymnastics Federation. Additionally, our aerial silks and circus arts expert staff is trained and certified through the nationally accredited ACE Circus Arts Safety Program.

My daughters favorite place ever!!!! We have been coming to Head Over Heels since 2008 when my daughter was 3. She is now nine. My daughter and I think of the owners and staff as family. They are always so supportive of her. Because of Head Over Heels my daughter has been able to reach so many goals that I had never even dreamed of. Because of the support of the staff she and other teammates tested and made it to the Karoli Ranch (the Women’s Olympic Training Center) to test nationally. 300 kids were invited out 3,700 who tested across the country at local testing. This is an amazing gym. We are so appreciative of all of the coaches and owners.

We have been at Head Over Heels since 2009. From the owners to the staff to the parents and the amazing gymnasts…you can’t go wrong here! I am so thankful to be a part of a gym who truly cares about their gymnasts and families. Thank you Head Over Heels for being a blessing in my gymnasts life!

My daughter had been taking gymnastics from Head Over Heels for over 2 years and she has learned so much!!!! Erin has been a wonderful coach and my daughter always looks forward to class with her each week. Cannot say enough great things about this gym and their coaches.

I highly recommend Head Over Heels. Both of my daughters began taking classes with them at age 2. Love the acro classes that Head Over Heels now offers at our dance studio. The coaches genuinely care for their students. They provide constant encouragement and support. The individualized attention sets them apart from other gyms.
